I have practised accident compensation law for over 20 years. I started out in industrial relations, social justice and human rights organisations, legal information services, and civil liberties groups, before developing a busy ACC and employment law practice in the early 2000s.
Since then I have handled cases at every level of the jurisdiction, from Review Hearings through to District Court appeals and High Court appeals on points of law, across the full range of ACC matters.
How I work with clients
I will tell you clearly what your prospects are, what the process involves, and what it is likely to cost, before you commit to anything.
Every case is different, and it needs to be handled that way. I will keep you informed as your matter develops, advise you on the best strategy and next steps, and explain your options clearly. I do not use jargon.
Legal Aid
If you cannot fund legal representation, you may be eligible for legal aid. I am a Lead Provider of Legal Aid in ACC matters and can accept legal aid cases and manage the application on your behalf. Eligibility is based on household income and the merits of the case. Legal aid does not affect the quality of the work.
